ABOUT THE FILM
The story of the journey of brothers Jan, Alan and their sister Liya, who were born in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq and raised in Germany. All three want to fulfill their mother's last wish - to bury her in
her home village next to her husband, who was killed in the war under the regime of Saddam Hussein. In their Kurdish odyssey, they are confronted not only with their large Kurdish family, which does not accept their mother's last wish, but also with their own problems. Parallel to their journey, tragic events take place in their country.
