A breathtaking film by Yılmaz Güney about honor and passion, courage and pain, tenderness and cruelty - horror, anger, strength, love - and life. YOL has not lost its relevance since the 1980s. "YOL - The Full Version" (2017) is dedicated to what the great Turkish-Kurdish actor, writer, director and producer Yılmaz Güney could not complete in his lifetime.

In 1978, the inhabitants of a small village in Iran called Zalava claim there is a demon among them. Massoud, a young gendarmerie sergeant, who investigates this claim encounters an exorcist attempting to rid the village of the demon. When he arrests the exorcist on charges of fraud, the villagers fear and anger escalates.

With a subtle sense of humor and satire, the film tells about childhood, in which, between dictatorship and dark drama, there were bright moments.

The film portrays the forced emigration of a musician couple who live in a city on Iraq Syria border. The woman is pregnant and she is waiting for her baby’s birth. After DAESH occupies some towns in Syria and Iraq, they set out to the Turkish border with some other people to reach Europe.

A Peshmerga, who is a deminer in the war with Daesh, loses his hand in an accident. Later he goes to become a taxi driver. As there is no disability driver’s license, his car is seized by the police. Under his wife’s pressures to leave to Europe, the man will do anything. The script is based on a true story.

The story is set in a tiny Kurdish village. Isa’s younger brother is murdered and brought back to his hometown. Two weeks after the funeral, his mother Zîn dreams of giving a wedding celebration for her deceased son. This strange idea sparks off a host of contradictory feelings within her, and between her and Isa and family members, who are still reeling from the trauma and grief of losing a brother.

Migrating to the big city is one of the general habits of the countryside. Maybe It is also a great remedy or desperation. The film tells about life in a village at the foot of Mount Sipan. In his early youth, the protagonist Burkhan Kango had to leave the village, but he returned to his native land to make a living in his fields on the outskirts, his commitment to nature through a passion he cannot give up. This passion is the most accessible raw material of nature - soil. The beauties of an ecological life are preferred by Burhan.

It is a film documentary about a life story (biography) Ronak Murad. Ronak Murad was born in 1965 in the city of Tirbespiyê in West Kurdistan of Rojava. Initially trained in the Syrian state, she moved to Aleppo to study at a university. During her university years, she became acquainted with the freedom struggle and became involved in guerrilla warfare. The years that followed were continued with both her own militant struggle and writing ten books of novels.

Casimê Celîl was born into a Yezidi Kurdish family in 1908, in a village called Kizilkule, located in Digor, Kars. The village and family life, which he longed to remember throughout his life, ends with the massacre they lived in 1918. During his long road to Erivan, Armenia, he lost all his family members. Left all alone in the city of Erivan, Casim was placed in an orphanage and was forced to change his name. To remember who he was and where he came from, he repeated the mantra “My name is Casim, I am the son of Celîl, I come from the village of Kizilkule in Digor I am a Kurd, and I am Yezidi”.

The documentary is about the hard life of people who smuggle goods in order to support their families. Because of this they are forced to hike arduous mountains putting their lives on the line. The father of a household may be swept to his death by an avalanche, or hit by a soldier’s bullets.

The documentary is about the submersion and the demolition of Hasankeyf a historical district in Batman that has 12,000 years of legacy, because of Ilısu Dam, and about the lives of the people who had to lose their villages, homes, memories before the increase of dam water, during the process of demolition, and after it.

This is a story about an elderly couple. The old man is a beekeeper. He decides to move north at the end of the summer. The old man's wife has Alzheimer's disease, and because of the disease, she often gets lost in different places. Their children want to send their mother to a nursing home, but the old man is not supportive and has difficulty coping with it.

This short film tells the story of an old man. He struggles with the merciless reality of today's individualistic society. Modern man is a being who is becoming more and more alone, but at the same time showing an incredible desire to build a better life and build a successful career for himself. The hero faces this loneliness when he loses his wife and is forced to spend the rest of his pension and life in an empty house.

Hoping to find his father again, Merjan refuses to leave the shore, and Diab wants to find the way to the promised land...

The film captures the hopelessness of every Iraqi throughout history, sacrificing their dreams due to circumstance.

An environmentalist and animal rights activist whose concern for nature and the problem of water scarcity is unique in its own way. He chose to live away from the city and people, but after every visit to the city, he collects all recyclable and reusable items, namely plastic bottles, worn and abandoned tires on roadsides and in nature.

The story of a man who worked as a blacksmith, but his whole life changed after the IS attack on his city of Kobani in 2014. He wanders the streets and alleys of his city, collecting the remains of weapons and rockets and turning them into sculptures and art structures, trying to inspire hope, spread a spirit of optimism through art and give objects a new life.

The first protests against the Baathist regime in Iraq began in Halabja in 1995. The people of Halabja were able to drive the Ba'athist regime out of their city for 72 hours, but no one heard the screams of the people of Halabja. Many were killed in complete silence, subsequently  Halabja became the first city in the world to be chemically bombed.

The Sinjar (Shangal) mountains in the Yazidi homeland saw the worst massacres and crimes committed by ISIS militants in 2014. Over 74 genocides have been committed in the history of the Yazidis, most of which occurred during the Ottoman Empire.

The story of an Iraqi child whose family fled Mosul after IS took control in 2014 and war broke out in their area. The family lived in a camp for displaced persons. After their area was liberated, the child's father returned to inspect their house, and the house exploded because it was mined as a result of the war. The father was killed, the family was left without a breadwinner, so the child was forced to leave the family and work in Erbil in order to be able to support the family.

In the Middle East, in eastern and northern Kurdistan, there is a group of people who profess a particular religion. They perform their prayers and worship the god with the tanbur. Tanbur is an ancient musical instrument that has its own special ritual of making. Yar talks about the process of making tanbur and how it is used for the religious ritual of the Yarsans.

The documentary Dance of Love tells about the life of an elderly couple. The woman has been suffering from diabetes and Alzheimer's disease for 16 years. And she didn't leave the house for seven years. Her husband takes care of her. His love for his wife led him to paint all the walls of his backyard.

The director returns to his hometown in Syria 25 years later with a photo of his old classmates. He will try to find out what happened to all of them after the war changed their faith.

The film tells about the experience of the director's mother, Besna, who wants to reach out to her son, just like other mothers whose sons are involved in years of war in Turkey.

The prison in Diyarbakır is a symbol of the torture suffered by prisoners in Turkey after the 1980 coup d'état. The picture is about women who visited their husbands in prisons and could not speak, because they did not know the Turkish language, and Kurdish was banned.

During the reforms in Turkey in the first half of the 20th century, men were required to wear trousers and hats in cities. In a small village in eastern Turkey, a man named Dilo wants to go to town to buy a mirror. There is only one pair of trousers and a hat, which the villagers take turns wearing when they go to town.

The narration of the film tells about the incidents taking place in the family. In a Yezidi village on Mount Shingal, a father, mother and their daughter live together in a peaceful atmosphere. However, the peace and tranquility were shattered by the attack carried out by ISIS.

In 1994-95, hundreds of Kurdish villages in Turkey were destroyed, forcing the residents to leave. They could not return to their homeland for more than 10 years. When they returned, they had to rebuild their homes and infrastructure.

The film chronicles the impact of the war in Kobani (Syria) on people and nature, as well as the uprising of female Kobani guerrillas against an approach that has for years ignored the historical values of women in dominant social descriptions.
