The International Film Festival "Moscow Kurdish Film Festival" (hereinafter referred to as the "Festival") is held to acquaint viewers with modern Kurdish cinema. Through the demonstration of Russian and foreign films dedicated to the Kurdish theme, the festival contributes to the development of cultural exchange, mutual understanding between peoples and cooperation between filmmakers from all over the world.
Presentation of international Kurdish cinema in Russia;
Acquaintance of viewers with the history, culture, modern life and problems of the Kurdish people;
Development of cultural exchange and cooperation between nations;
Organization of the film festival:
The International Film Festival "Moscow Kurdish Film Festival" is established, will be prepared and held by Berfin Design Group LLC (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer").
The festival will be held annually in Moscow. In 2023, the Festival will be held from 12 to 19 October.
The international film festival "Moscow Kurdish Film Festival" in 2023 will be competitive. The work of 8 (Eight) members of the jury of the film festival is provided to determine the winners in 4 (Four) nominations:
Best Feature Film
Best Feature Short Film
Best Documentary Short Film.
Participation procedure and program:
Films submitted by film companies, film studios, independent producers, distributors and any copyright holders can participate in the Festival.
The festival accepts full-length and short films from any country in the world in the original language with English or Russian subtitles. Films are accepted via email@example.com through the Filmfreeway online system (https:/filmfreeway.com). The final decision on the inclusion of the film in the Festival program is made by the Organizer, who reserves the right not to explain the reason for the refusal. The festival does not accept applications for films that have been made available online.
For each selected film, no later than May 31, 2023, the following materials must be at the disposal of the Festival:
Digital copy of the film for subtitling in DCP and mp4 format;
File with subtitles in Russian, English or original language in .srt format;
Biography and photo of the director;
Frames from the film;
Trailer or teaser of the film;
Other press materials, advertising and promotional materials, if available;
The Festival has the right to use visual materials of participating films and fragments from films (no more than 10% of the length of the film and no more than 3 minutes) in order to inform the audience and promote the Festival.
Each selected film will receive a certificate of participation in the Festival program.
Questions about inviting guests, the terms and conditions of their stay and accreditation at the Festival are decided by the Organizer.
Applications for accreditation must be submitted to the Organizer no later than October 12, 2023. The Festival reserves the right to refuse accreditation without explanation.
The festival is held with the involvement of state support and private funding - organizations and enterprises, as well as individuals - partners, investors and sponsors, representatives of large, medium-sized businesses, as well as information partners and sponsors. Relations with investors and sponsors are regulated by additional contracts and agreements. Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all articles of these Regulations.
Participation in the Festival provides for compliance with all points of these Regulations. In case of disputes under the Regulations, the Russian text of these Regulations shall be taken as the basis.
