JOWAN BAMARNI
Jowan Bamarni was born in 1964 in Bamerni, Dohuk, Iraqi Kurdistan. He began his career in the world of cinema back in 1993 and since then has worked in many films and television programs. In 2015, he directed the film Orphans of the Universe (Iraq), and already in 2018 the war drama Hero of the Century (Iraq). The world premiere of the film was successfully held at the 6th Dohuk International Film Festival in 2018. He is currently a member of the jury for the Sulaymaniyah Film Institute.
ABOUT THE FILM
During the war on terrorism, the peshmerga (Kurdish military forces) join forces with an alliance on a mission to stop the mad scientist. The journey is filled with dangers. The script is based on real events that actually happened to the screenwriter and producer of the film, Mohammad Muhsin Salih.
